Description

Anaheim pepper plants (Capsicum annuum 'Anaheim') are a mild chili pepper variety that produces elongated, tapered peppers ranging from 6 to 10 inches in length. The plants grow up to 2–3 feet tall and thrive in warm, sunny climates with well-drained soil. Anaheim peppers start out green and can mature to a deep red if left on the plant. They have a mild heat level, typically ranging from 500 to 2,500 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), making them popular for roasting, stuffing, grilling, and use in salsas or sauces. These plants are relatively easy to grow and are commonly cultivated in home gardens and commercial farms.
