Our luffas are started early in the spring indoors while it is still cold outside to give them a good head start. They are carefully transplanted outdoors in our gardens around mid-May and carefully protected from the cold nights. We trellis the vines to keep them from taking over our gardens and to give us straighter loofahs! Finally, once it begins to get cooler at nights and the first hard frost is forecast, we harvest all the loofahs and then begin peeling, washing and drying them to prepare them for you! Uses: Kitchen - use your luffa to wash dishes. Bath - use your luffa to clean your body and gently exfoliate skin. Care: If you allow your luffa to dry after each use, it can last up to 3 months! End of Life: When your luffa is no longer usable, please compost it so that the fibers can renew the soil. 1 whole loofah 12-15”
